The event, organised by the UN in Team in Brussels, the UN Associations of Belgium and the European Youth Forum, with the support of the City of Brussels, will start at 11.00. Tents containing information about the different UN Agencies in Brussels, what they do and how people can support the UN's work will be on the Grand Place until 17.00. The public will be able to discuss and learn about Human Rights, Humanitarian Assistance, Development as well as Peace and Security Issues. The special focus of the day will be the Millenium Development Goals: fighting poverty through employment, ensuring food security, empowering women, defending human rights, promoting health, combating AIDS, safeguarding biodiversity and protecting the environment.
