On 30 May, the UN Human Rights Regional Office for Europe organized it’s second Human Rights Talks in Brussels titled. “Strengthening the Safety of Women Journalists in Europe: From Challenges to Solutions”.

On 30 June, the UN Human Rights Regional Office for Europe organized it’s second Human Rights Talks to spotlight the monthly theme of the Human Rights 75 initiative: Women’s right. The online event, co-organized with UNWomen and UNESCO and titled “Strengthening the Safety of Women Journalists in Europe: From Challenges to Solutions” welcomed around 50 participants actively contributing to the discussion. The event opened with remarks from Nicole Ameline, member of the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, a testimony from Carole Cadwalladr, investigative journalists, and information setting from Guilherme Canela, UNESCO chief of Section. The panel invited distinguished speakers from the European commission, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the EU Committee to Protect journalists and NGOs.
