On 27 July, the Anti-Racial Discrimination Advisor (ARDA) sustained meeting with anti-racial discrimination expert from Human Rights Watch. Among others, the main agreed upon areas of collaboration include implementing ARD campaign; open a platform for disseminating research on ARD and presenting main conclusions to relevant policy bodies; in collaboration with other Civil Society Organizations to establish working agenda on reparations; and promote the establishment of antiracism CSO coalition for addressing the topic of structural racism and intersectional racism. This meeting took place as a follow up to the Regional Office’s (ROE) consultation with European Civil Society Organizations and other international organizations on anti-racial discrimination led by ROE Acting Representative and ARDA. the Office is currently conducting a series of further meetings with each organization in order to identify common concerns and priorities and proceed with establishing ARD agenda in coordination with these stakeholders.
