Webinar series for female activists of African descent

"Fulfilling the human rights of girls and women of African descent in the European Union"

Are you an activist of African descent in Europe? Would you like to use human rights effectively to influence law and policies in your country or city? Do you wish to connect with other leaders and advocates of African descent? Then, the webinar programme “Fulfilling the human rights of girls and women of African descent in the European Union” is something for you!

In the context of the International Decade for People of African Descent (2015 – 2024), the UN Human Rights Regional Office for Europe, in cooperation with the European Network for People of African Descent (ENPAD), invites female activists of African descent in Europe to apply to an online capacity-building programme.

Participants will receive an introduction to the international human rights framework from UN experts, engage in a dialogue with elected officials and human rights advocates of African descent, and share advocacy tools and good practices. The webinar will also address the multidimensional and intersectional forms of discrimination experienced by girls and women of African descent with a view to improving human rights outcomes for this group.
